No Rocky Mountain National Park Hotels? Make Your Base Grand Lake

by | May 25, 2016 | Travel & Vacations

If you want to enjoy alpine lakes, thick forests and craggy mountain heights, make your way to Colorado. One of the Crown Jewels on your trip should be Rocky Mountain National Park. Hotels for accommodations, however, are not found in the park; unless you want to spend your days in a tent.  Consider establishing your home base somewhere else; Grand Lake comes to mind.

Grand Lake

The Western Gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, the Town of Grand Lake makes an excellent place to set up your home base. The lake from which its named, provides you and your family with opportunities to enjoy fishing, canoeing and boating in the summer and ice fishing in the winter. Snuggled right up against the Park, it is the perfect place to stay.

Hotels are scarce in Grand Lake, but there are excellent accommodations available.  Among the more prominent is the Western Riviera. This is one of the town’s more sought after venues, and its worth it. Situated right on the lake, it offers its guests the amenities they have come to expect from a hotel. This hotel is also the only hotel with a view of Grand Lake.

By renting a hotel room, or staying in one of their cabins, you will have access to sail on the lake. You also may enjoy fishing or you could try it for the first time.  They love first-time visitors; it could be a trip of firsts. Enjoy the sensation of everything that nature can provide while relaxing in the comfort of their accommodations. From Wi-Fi to nature trails, the comforts and pleasures are all yours if you stay here.
