Wolf-Gordon and Interior Design staged a special event in March 2022 to honor the award-winning Muse upholstery textile series. Venus Williams’ V Starr design firm in South Florida created it. Portfolio of Muse: joy, movement, and support were displayed at the beautiful event.
V-Starrs Award-Winning Collection
During the Symphony event, the company showcased the Muse Collection. V Starr’s first collection is Muse, an upholstery textile collection that honors women’s strength. The three award-winning patterns in the collection show a contrast between traditional femininity’s tenderness and the ferocious underlying values of endurance, strength, and dedication.
Floor-to-ceiling panels featuring Elena and Frida, two of the Muse textiles, served as a backdrop for photographs throughout the Symphony event. The event venue was well decorated with pillows created from the textiles and the third Muse design, Ora.
The Muse Collection
Williams and the V Starr Principals exchanged dozens of rounds of hand-drawn artwork. The uplifting patterns of Elena, Frida, and Ora were on show at the Symphony event. The designs feature themes that reference and honor female strength and are named after women who the V Starr group admires.
Each of the collection’s color names includes the pronouns “her,” “us,” or ” we,” as in Heather, Blush, and Seaweed, among others, as a gesture to global female togetherness and fellowship.
Maria A. Konrad choreographed three contemporary dance pieces for the event. @cooper.Everson, @maiseeanderson, @darynvictoria, and @maiamontgomery. Unique textiles symbolizing V Starr’s design were put into the dancers’ clothing.
