Cheer Up Your Kids with Fake Snow

Are your kids sick? Are they recuperating after a long illness? If they’re sad about school and bored out of their mind, one way to put some cheer into their day is to create some winter fun for them. But how?

Hospital Surprise Delights Kids

In a heartwarming story about surprise snowstorms and happy kids, the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta put together a surprise for their pediatric patients. According to the DailyMail, there were about 31 snow making machines that were distributed around the campuses in three locations: ScottishRite, Engleston and Hughes Spalding. Many of the machines were put on the roofs. That way, when it was time for the surprise, the snow would fall from that height, giving the perfect illusion of a snowstorm.

As is obvious in the report, many of the kids were happy and excited to play in the snow. They built snowballs, lied down on the ground and generally watched the snowfall, excited, in awe and amazed. The staff and the patients were in high spirits, according to the report.

A Winter Surprise for Your Kids

Why not take inspiration from that story? Make your own snowstorm surprise for your kids? All you need to do is rent a snow making machine, find a suitable location for the surprise and you’re good to go.

Even if you want to create enough snow to cover a large room or area, you won’t have to worry about running out of your white winter sparkles. If you want to be sure, you can call up the snow making company or talk to the company’s customer service representatives and tell them how much is your idea of ‘enough.’ That way, the company could tell you if your estimate is within the ballpark or not.

Special and Unforgettable

Renting a snow making machine isn’t anything special. Nor is it unforgettable. What proves special and unforgettable, though, is the love inherent in the gesture. By preparing a surprise snowstorm for your sick kids, you’re not just giving them a reason to cheer up while they recover from a long illness. You’re also giving them a memory they could revisit often and cherish forever.

In the end, it doesn’t have to take a grand gesture of love to show your kids how much they mean to you. Sometimes, all it takes is the smallest of things—like falling snow—to make that happen.
